The Airman Battle Uniform, ABU, was designed in the early 2000’s where it was officially adopted by the US Air Force in 2007 and even by the Space Force in 2019 until both branches eventually discontinued use in 2021. The ABU has NIR (Near-infrared) qualities.
This jacket is very warm and will camouflage you in rocky and urban terrain, including NIR Signature Management Technology which helps the user avoid detection with night vision goggles. With two chest pockets and two stomach pockets, it gives you plenty of room for goodies.
